A welcomed trend for newborn photography has become in-home lifestyle sessions.  These sessions particularly cater to families that have other children (and animals!) and really want those interactive shots with the new baby.   It’s usually easier for the families so that they don’t have to worry about packing everything up and getting out of the house when the baby is only a few days old.  It’s intimate, it’s raw, it’s usually messy, but it’s always authentic, capturing those compelling shots of the new baby and family members.

They are perfectly imperfect pictures.  One dad told me as I was leaving his house after their session…”I felt like you spent 2 hours taking pictures of my kids just behaving badly.”  I love surprising them with powerful, cherished images after these kinds of chaotic sessions.
